Labanya Prakash Jena

Labanya Prakash Jena works at the intersection of climate finance, sustainable finance, transition finance, and financial regulation. His current roles include Visiting Senior Fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science and Director at the Climate and Sustainability Initiative. His professional experience spans multilateral institutions, policy and advisory organisations, and research platforms, including the Asian Development Bank, Climate Policy Initiative, the Commonwealth Secretariat, UNDP, CEEW, IEEFA, and the World Resources Institute. Across these roles, he has worked with policymakers, regulators, financial institutions, and market participants on financing solutions for the low-carbon transition. His body of work includes research reports, journal publications, book contributions, commentary, training programs, mentoring, and guest teaching engagements.
